Human Design Gates the complete 64-gate cheat sheet

64 pages — one per hexagram of the I Ching

What this sheet gives you

Below this introduction sits the complete list of all 64 gates. Each row gives you three things. The keynote is the gate’s short theme, a way of naming what it tends to be about. The centre tells you where that gate sits in the body of the chart, since every gate belongs to exactly one of the nine centres. The channels column shows what the gate can join to — which partner gate would need to be switched on too, in another chart or your own, for a channel to complete and both centres to be defined. The sheet is free, there is nothing to sign up for, and the page is styled to print or save as a PDF straight from your browser.

What a gate actually is

There are 64 gates because there are 64 hexagrams in the I Ching, and each one occupies a fixed position, spread across the nine centres of the bodygraph. A gate is a consistent theme rather than a one-off event — it describes a recurring note, not a single moment. It only becomes active in a chart if a planet sat in its precise degree range at the birth moment, or roughly 88 days before it. On its own, a gate is a potential; a channel needs both of its gates present before it defines anything. Which gates are active in a given chart is a matter of astronomy and can be checked. The meaning attached to each one is offered as a lens for reflection, not a claim about who anyone has to be.

The wheel of 64

The outer ticks are the twelve tropical sign boundaries — the two grids almost never coincide. How to read the list

The table is grouped by centre because that is how a chart is actually read — a centre’s gates make more sense taken in together than scattered alphabetically or by number. Each gate number opens the full page for that gate, where the theme is explored further. None of it describes a fixed path, only a recurring pattern worth noticing. If you want to know which of these 64 are actually yours, the chart tool computes that from your birth moment, and it is also free.
