What Channel 2–14 is

Channel 2–14 runs between the G centre and the Sacral centre, and it forms only when both Gate 2 and Gate 14 are activated. A channel of this kind is not an action or a talent a person cultivates — it is a fixed structural position in the bodygraph, a wire between two named centres that either exists or does not. Its presence or absence in any individual chart is decided entirely by where the relevant planets sat at two calculation moments: the moment of birth and the moment roughly three months prior. There is no partial version. Either the wire is complete, with activation at both ends, or it is absent, and the two centres it would have joined remain independent of each other with respect to this particular connection.

The two gates that make it

One end of this channel sits at Gate 2, in the G centre, rooted in the I Ching hexagram Khwăn. The other sits at Gate 14, in the Sacral centre, rooted in the hexagram Tâ Yû. Each gate can be activated on its own, and when that happens it exists in the chart as a standalone potential — it does not, by itself, define either centre or complete this channel. Only when both Gate 2 and Gate 14 are active at once does the connection between the G and the Sacral centre come into being.
